Colorado Real Estate Broker Jake Hubbell

Jake Hubbell is a native of Western Colorado, born in Carbondale and raised in Marble and Crawford, small towns in the heart of the Elk Mountains. The son of an outfitting family, Jake was helping guide horseback rides at an early age. He grew up fly-fishing the Roaring Fork, Crystal, and Frying Pan rivers, hiking to high-country lakes and streams, and hunting elk in the high country. 

Outstanding academic achievement at Western State Colorado University

As a high school student in Hotchkiss, Jake excelled at wrestling and started at wide receiver on the football team, yet his best achievements were in the classroom. Jake graduated high school with an Associate of Science degree and parlayed that success into the Professional Land and Resource Management (PLRM) degree program at Western State Colorado University in Gunnison. As one of the top students in the program, Jake graduated Magna cum Laude in 2017—debt free, in three years. He became a licensed real estate broker while finishing his senior year of college.

The PLRM program is centered around mineral rights leasing for the oil and gas industry, with a curriculum that is also ideal for Western ranch brokerage. Jake Hubbell has studied Colorado water law, range management, accounting and finance, mineral rights leasing and acquisition, hydraulic fracturing, environmental politics, contract law, geology, marketing, and communications—all skills that come in very handy when listing and selling Colorado ranch real estate.

He is an avid skier, fly fisherman, upland bird hunter, waterfowler, and big game hunter, and has a beautiful yellow Labrador retriever. Jake has the benefit of seasoned leadership, as his father, Gary Hubbell, is an experienced and well-known Colorado ranch broker and auctioneer.

Jake Hubbell has quickly established himself as one of the top young agents in Colorado. Nominated for the National Association of Realtors (NAR) “30 Under 30” recognition program, Jake is known in ranch real estate circles for outstanding accomplishment not just for a young broker, but for any broker. He has been instrumental in marketing and selling multi-million-dollar ranch properties and multi-parcel auction properties. In March 2023, Jake was a co-instructor at the National Land Conference on valuing real estate with business assets included, which was most popular educational topic offered at the conference of 500 land professionals. Also in 2023, Jake was invited to the podium at the United Country national convention by UC’s President, Mike Duffy, to accept the prestigious Genesis Award for the top marketing office in the entire international franchise of over 500 offices.

Colorado ranch real estate broker, hunting property specialist Loren Williams

A fourth-generation native of Colorado, Loren Williams has deep family roots in the northwest part of the state. Born in Steamboat Springs, he was raised with a ranching and hunting background in Routt, Mesa, and Logan counties. 

US Army combat veteran, BA in Business

A 1999 graduate of Sterling High School, Loren moved back to the Western Slope to attend Colorado Mesa University, where he graduated with a business degree.  Loren joined the US Army and deployed for Operation Iraqi Freedom, spending over 24 months in a combat zone as a combat engineer, mustering out as a staff sergeant.

Oil & gas industry experience, licensed Colorado big game outfitter

Loren returned to the Grand Valley in 2007 to work in the energy industry, joining the Halliburton sales team and becoming familiar with oil & gas drilling operations. Eventually he opened his own oilfield service business. Always an enthusiastic big game hunter, Loren set aside several weeks every fall to guide elk and trophy mule deer hunts, leading his clients to many trophy bulls and several 200-class mule deer bucks. In 2018, Loren and his wife founded Mesa Outfitters, leading horseback hunts for deer and elk in wilderness terrain on the shoulders of the Grand Mesa.

Western Colorado ranch real estate broker

Most recently, Loren studied for his real estate license to help buyers and sellers transact farms, ranches, horse properties, country homes, and hunting properties. Loren joined broker/auctioneer Gary Hubbell at United Country Colorado Brokers, an office with a wide geographic reach in Colorado and Utah.

On a personal level, Loren lives with his wife, Valerie, and their two young children on their farm in Loma, Colorado. They enjoy hunting, fishing, horses, golf, boating, and snowmobiling.
